Sharing Saturday - today I am sharing a presentation I had the pleasure of giving thids year for the Alex Panton Foundation at the annual mental health youth symposium. I hope that persons viewing this will not only have a better understanding of the barriers that those of us who come from a Caymanian heritage or even Caribbean, stuggle with when navigating mental health matters especially our own. Thankfully because of the resources, conversations and much advocacy that resistant arm is loosing and more persons are asking for help and seeking a better understnading of their own and others mental health. Wellness is not just related with our physical health but refers to our mental health as well. As adults, it is key for us to model the actions of seeking help and having those discussions with our children. If we teach them now, we help them find hope for today and the future, because understanding that sometimes they may not be okay and that's okay - there is help, all they have to do is ask. If you have any questions or would like to continue this discussion, please don't hesitate to reach out info@lifeoptions.ky
